Η προσπάθεια αυτή θα συμβάλει στη δημιουργία ενός τελικού καταλόγου ειδών στις αγροοικολογικές ζώνες της Μεσαράς. Τα μυρμήγκια που ταξινομήθηκαν προέρχονται από παγίδες pitfall, οι οποίες τοποθετήθηκαν σε ελαιώνες και φυσικά γεωτεμάχια, σε δύο αγροοικολογικές ζώνες. Επιλέχθηκαν τρείς λοφώδεις περιοχές και τρείς πεδινές.Τοποθετήθηκαν συνολικά 75 παγίδες με προπυλενογλυκόλη. Τα δείγματα μεταφέρθηκαν στο εργαστήριο όπου εξετάστηκαν στοστερεοσκόπιο και ταξινομήθηκαν με τη βοήθεια κλειδών σε επίπεδο γένους/είδους. Για την Κρήτη, υπάρχει διαθέσιμη κλείδα που αφορά τη μυρμηγκοπανίδα από τους S.Salata, L.Borowiec και Α.Τριχά, η οποία είναι διαθέσιμη και δημοσιεύθηκε το 2020. Αναγνωρίστηκαν 14 γένη από τα συνολικά 28 που έχουν καταγραφεί στην Κρήτη. Η καταγραφή των δεδομένων έγινε σε φύλλο excel, όπου τα δεδομένα παρουσιάστηκαν οπτικά σε μορφή ιστογραμμάτων , κυκλικών γραφημάτων κλπ. Επιπλέον έγινε επεξεργασία των δεδομένων που προέκυψαν μέσω στατιστικής ανάλυσης ANOVA με χρήση υπολογιστικού πακέτου SPSS 20. Τέλος με την παρούσα εργασία έγινε μια προσπάθεια πρώτης καταγραφής και τη δημιουργία βάσης δεδομένων της μυρμηγκοπανίδας στους ελαιώνες της Κρήτης σε επίπεδο γένους και είδους. Τα δεδομένα αυτά θα χρησιμεύσουν για μελλοντική έρευνα με σκοπό τη δημιουργία πλήρη κατάλογου των ειδών Formicidae στις αγροοικολογικές ζώνες της Μεσαράς, ώστε να μελετηθούν οι σχέσεις τους στα αγροοικοσυστήματα των Μεσογειακών ελαιώνων.This study aims to create a catalogue at the level of genera and species of the ant fauna in the area of Messara, in the southern part of the prefecture of Heraklion. This effort will contribute to the creation of a final list of species in the agro-ecological zones of Messara. The classified ants come from pitfall - traps, which were placed in olive groves and natural plots, in two agro-ecological zones (hilly - lowland). Three hilly areas and three plain ones were selected, where a total of 75 traps were placed. The traps contained propylene glycol. The samples were taken to the laboratory where they were sorted out using a stereoscope. They were then classified using keys to genus and species level. Α key to the ant fauna of Crete was published in 2020 by S.Salata, L.Borowiec and A.Trichas. In this area were recognized14 genera out of a total of 28 recorded in Crete and 21 species. The data was recorded in excel 2010. Through the specific programme, the data were presented visually in the form of histograms, pie charts (pies), etc. In addition, the resulting data were processed through statistical analysis with the ANOVA method using the SPSS 20. Finally, with this work, an attempt was made to record and create a database of the ant fauna in the olive groves of Crete at the level of genus and species.
