Consumer dietary habits have changed radically in recent years, incorporating more fruits and vegetables into their daily nutrition due to their high nutritional value and multiple health benefits. Subtropical fruits such as avocado, mango, dragon fruit, passion fruit, papaya, pitaya, guava, lychee, and cherimoya are increasingly being included in people’s diets, leading to a growing global demand and production. The aim of this study is to examine the nutritional value of subtropical fruits, their cultivation characteristics, climate requirements, and soil preferences. Furthermore, it explores the impact of climate change on their cultivation and their role as part of the modern dietary model in Greece.
