Τεκμήριο Study of sound transmission through elastic damping interfaces.(ΕΛΜΕΠΑ, Σχολή Μουσικής και Οπτοακουστικών Τεχνολογιών (ΣΜΟΤ), ΠΜΣ Τεχνολογίες Ήχου και Μουσικής, 2024-07-04) Inglezaki, Christina; Ιγγλεζάκη, Χριστίνα; Kouzoupis, Spyridon; Panagiotopoulos, Christos; Κουζούπης, Σπυρίδων; Παναγιωτόπουλος, ΧρήστοςThis thesis aims to study the interaction between acoustic domains, which are connected to each other through dissipative interfaces. The interaction of acoustic domains through the normal fluid displacement or the velocity field on the interfaces, is considered. The computations are performed through the Boundary Element Method (BEM), which is a method suitable for problems in which the unknowns are at the boundaries and at the interface of the individual domains. Simple Kelvin-Voigt models are adopted and introduced as Robin conditions over the boundaries or on an interface when an estimation of the sound transmission is requested. The wall interface is modeled through material properties, namely inertia, elasticity and damping. Implementation is done in Java-Groovy language, using the SDE environment. The results are compared with the solutions of the equivalent problems obtained by using the Comsol Multiphysics™ software. All of the analyses were conducted mainly in the frequency domain.
