| dc.description.abstract | Στην παρούσα πτυχιακή εργασία καλούμαστε να μελετήσουμε τις τάσεις που αναπτύσσονται στα τοιχώματα ανευρυσμάτων, χρησιμοποιώντας ένα λογισμικό πεπερασμένων στοιχείων. Από καθαρά εμβιομηχανική σκοπιά, η ρήξη του ανευρύσματος οφείλεται στο γεγονός ότι η αντοχή του τοιχώματος αδυνατεί να αντέξει την τοιχωματική τάση. Επειδή όμως ο υπολογισμός της τάσης είναι χρονοβόρος και δεν είναι διαθέσιμος προς το παρόν στις κλινικές, έρευνες γίνονται για να εντοπιστούν μορφολογικά χαρακτηριστικά που σχετίζονται τόσο με μεγάλες τοιχωματικές τάσεις όσο και με το μεγάλο μέγεθος του ανευρύσματος ή τον ταχύ ρυθμό αύξησης της διαμέτρου του. Θα εξετάσουμε αν το μέγεθος του ανευρύσματος σχετίζεται με κάποιο από τα μορφολογικά χαρακτηριστικά του. | el |
| dc.description.abstract | At the present dissertation, we examined the stresses that grow on the walls of the aneurysms, using finite element software. From a purely biomechanical view, the rupture of an aneurysm is due to the fact that the wall’s strength is unable to last the wall’s stress. The stress calculation is time consuming, so it’s not available at the clinics for now. Searches are conducted to detect morphological characteristics related with big wall stresses and big sized aneurysms, or the diameter’s rapid growth rate. We’ll examine if the size of the aneurysm relates with any of the morphological characteristics. | en |
