Σκοπός αυτής της πτυχιακής είναι η κατασκευή ενός eshop για επιχείρηση που εμπορεύεται μηχανές γραφείου (PC, εκτυπωτές, FAX, φωτοαντιγραφικά κτλ). Για τον σκοπό αυτό χρησιμοποιήθηκε η πλατφόρμα CMS ανοιχτού κώδικα Joomla και το E-Commerce component Virtuemart, επίσης ανοιχτού κώδικα. Με αυτά τα δύο εργαλεία, οι διαχειριστές του site, μπορούν να δημιουργήσουν άρθρα που αφορούν την επιχείρηση, να προσθέσουν καινούργια προϊόντα, κατηγορίες προϊόντων, φωτογραφίες και πολλά άλλα. Οι πελάτες του eshop, χρησιμοποιώντας το site, μπορούν να δουν τα προϊόντα, να ρωτήσουν τους υπεύθυνους του καταστήματος για αυτά και να παραγγείλουν. Το web site αναπτύχθηκε με χρήση της έκδοσης Joomla 1.5.15 Stable και Virtuemart 1.1.5 Stable. Χρησιμοποιήθηκαν επίσης και άλλα modules για την δημιουργία backup του site, την μετατροπή του σε mobile έκδοση και άλλα.
The aim of this final year project is to design andbuild an eshop for a business selling office machines (PC, printers, FAX, copiers etc) For this purpose CMS Joomla was used, together with E-Commerce open source component, Virtuemart. Using those two tools, administrators can create articles, add new products, product categories, pictures and many more. Customers can browse through the products, ask about them and place orders. This site was created using Joomla 1.5.15 Stable and Virtuemart 1.1.5 Stable. There were also other modules used for backup, mobile imaging of the site and many more.
