| dc.description.abstract | Σκοπός της πτυχιακής εργασίας είναι να διερευνήσει το βαθμό στον οποίο τα ελληνικά ξενοδοχεία είναι εξοικειωμένα με την έννοια της βιώσιμης τουριστικής ανάπτυξης, καθώς και τις περιβαλλοντικές πρακτικές τις οποίες εφαρμόζουν. Στο θεωρητικό μέρος της εργασίας, αναλύονται οι έννοιες της βιώσιμης τουριστικής ανάπτυξης, της πράσινης επιχειρηματικότητας, της εταιρικής κοινωνικής ευθύνης και των περιβαλλοντικών πρακτικών των ξενοδοχείων, ενώ παρουσιάζονται συγκεκριμένες μελέτες περίπτωσης. Στο πρακτικό μέρος της εργασίας, παρουσιάζονται τα αποτελέσματα της έρευνας που πραγματοποιήθηκε σε δείγμα ξενοδοχείων των νομών Ηλείας και Ηρακλείου. Τα αποτελέσματα έδειξαν ότι σε γενικές γραμμές οι επιχειρηματίες αναγνωρίζουν την ανάγκη για περιβαλλοντική προστασία και έχουν αναλάβει ποικίλες ενέργειες προς αυτό το σκοπό. Ωστόσο και παρά τη σημασία της, σε πολλές περιπτώσεις η περιβαλλοντική προστασία δεν αποτελεί κορυφαία προτεραιότητα για την ελληνική ξενοδοχειακή βιομηχανία. | el |
| dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the extent to which Greek hotels are familiar with the concept of sustainable tourism development, as the environmental practices they apply. In the theoretical part of the thesis the concepts of sustainable tourism development, green entrepreneurship, corporate social responsibility and environmental practices are analyzed, while several case studies are presented. The practical part of the thesis presents the results of the research conducted on a sample of hotels at the prefectures of Ileia and Heraklion. The results of the study showed that hotel operators generally recognize the need for environmental protection and are involved in a number of activities. However, despite its importance, environmental protection is not always the top priority in the hotel industry in Greece. | en |
