dc.description.abstractΗ παρούσα εργασία αφορά την γεωμορφολογία της Τήνου με το τοπογραφικό μοντέλο του κεντρικού τμήματός της. Για την πραγματοποίηση της συλλέχθηκαν τοπογραφικά στοιχεία και δημιουργήθηκε ψηφιακή βάση σε ΓΣΠ. Η παρούσα εργασία βασίζεται στη χρήση Ψηφιακού Μοντέλου Εδάφους (DEM) για την ανάλυση της γεωμορφολογίας μιας περιοχής μέσω της παραγωγής θεματικών χαρτών. Μέσω της χρήσης του DEM συμβάλλει ουσιαστικά στη γεωργική ανάπτυξη, την περιβαλλοντική διαχείριση και τη χωροταξική οργάνωση, προσφέροντας πολύτιμα εργαλεία για τη βιώσιμη αξιοποίηση και προστασία του φυσικού περιβάλλοντος.el
dc.description.abstractThe aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between the geomorphology of Tinos Island and the topographic model of its central part. To achieve this, topographic data were collected and organized into a digital database within a Geographic Information System (GIS). This work is based on the use of a Digital Elevation Model (DEM) for the geomorphological analysis of the area through the production of thematic maps. From the DEM, several derivatives were generated — including elevation distribution, slope, aspect, flow accumulation, and hillshade — which together provide a comprehensive representation of the terrain. Overall, the integrated DEM analysis contributes significantly to agricultural development, environmental management, and spatial planning, providing essential tools for the ustainable use and protection of the natural environment.en
