dc.description.abstractΗ παρούσα ερευνητική εργασία αποσκοπεί στη διερεύνηση της επίδρασης ή μη της ύπαρξης παιδιού με ειδικές εκπαιδευτικές ανάγκες στη σχέση των γονέων. Καταλληλότερη μέθοδος συλλογής δεδομένων για τη συγκεκριμένη έρευνα κρίθηκε η ποσοτική. Στη μελέτη συμμετείχαν συνολικά 132 άτομα, γονείς ή κηδεμόνες ενός ή περισσοτέρων παιδιών με ειδικές εκπαιδευτικές ανάγκες, οι οποίοι κατοικούν στους νομούς Ρεθύμνου και Χανίων. Σύμφωνα με την ανάλυση των δεδομένων, οι γονείς θεωρούν ότι η ύπαρξη του παιδιού τους με ειδικές εκπαιδευτικές ανάγκες, δεν επηρέασε την συντροφική σχέση, εντούτοις παρατηρήθηκε ότι ή σχέση διαφοροποιήθηκε σε παραπάνω από τα μισά ζευγάρια. Παρότι σχεδόν ένα στα τρία ζευγάρια θεωρεί ότι η σχέση τους μεταβλήθηκε αρνητικά, οι απόψεις για το τι αλλάζει στις σχέσεις με τον/τη σύντροφο/σύζυγο σχετίζονται με μάλλον διαφορετικά αίτια από την ύπαρξη παιδιού με ειδικές εκπαιδευτικές ανάγκες. Τέλος, όπως παρουσιάζεται στην παρούσα έρευνα, οι κοινές δραστηριότητες του ζευγαριού βελτιώθηκαν μετά τη γέννηση/διάγνωση του παιδιού με ειδικές εκπαιδευτικές ανάγκες. Τα αντιφατικά ερευνητικά δεδομένα, αναφορικά με τις επιδράσεις της γέννησης ενός παιδιού με ειδικές εκπαιδευτικές ανάγκες στη σχέση του ζευγαριού, αποτέλεσαν το βασικό κίνητρο για την παρούσα έρευνα. Προς αυτήν την κατεύθυνση διερευνήθηκε η σχέση του ζευγαριού πριν και μετά τη διάγνωση του παιδιού με ειδικές εκπαιδευτικές ανάγκες. Επιπλέον κατόπιν ανασκόπησης της βιβλιογραφίας έγινε αντιληπτό ότι, οι περισσότεροι ερευνητές είχαν στρέψει το ενδιαφέρον τους στο παιδί με ειδικές εκπαιδευτικές ανάγκες και όχι στη συντροφική/συζυγική σχέση. Η εν λόγω έρευνα είναι σημαντική, αφού βοηθάει να κατανοηθούν εκτενέστερα οι βαθύτερες ανάγκες ολόκληρης της οικογένειας, προκειμένου να υπάρξει μια ολιστική αντιμετώπιση και πολυεπίπεδη προσέγγιση στην οικογενειακή λειτουργικότητα και ισορροπία.el
dc.description.abstractThe present research paper aims to investigate the impact or its absence the presence of a child with special educational needs might have on the relationship between the parents. The quantitative method was considered the best method for data collection for the present research. A total of 132 individuals participated in the research, parents or guardians of one or more children with special educational needs, who live in the prefectures of Rethymnon and Chania. According to the data analysis, parents consider the presence of their special educational needs child has not affected their intimate relationship, however it was still observed that the relationship was altered in more than half of the couples. What is more, despite the fact that almost one in three couples believes their relationship was negatively changed, the beliefs as to what changes the relationship with their companion/husband/wife are related with rather different causes than the presence of a special educational needs child. Concluding, as it becomes evident in the current research, the couple’s common activities were improved after the birth/diagnosis of the child with special educational needs. These contradictory research data, related to the impact the birth of a special educational needs child has on the couple’s relationship, are the main aim of the current research. Towards that direction the relationship of the couple before and after the diagnosis of a child with special educational needs was investigated. Moreover, after revising the relevant bibliography it became clear that most of the researchers had shifted their interest toward the special educational needs child instead the companionate/marital relationship. The current research is of high importance, since it helps to further comprehend the deeper needs of the whole family, in order for a holistic confrontation to be possible, as well as a multilevel approach to the family functionality and balance.en
