| dc.description.abstract | Η «διερχόμενη» Κρουαζιέρα (Transit) στη Μεσόγειο και συγκεκριμένα στους Ελληνικούς προορισμούς-λιμένες, έχει αυξηθεί την τελευταία δεκαετία με την Ελλάδα να κατέχει μια σημαντική θέση στην αγορά της κρουαζιέρας στην ανατολική Μεσόγειο. Σε αντίθεση, η δραστηριότητα της Κρουαζιέρας «αφετηρίας» (Home Porting) βρίσκεται σε πολύ χαμηλή θέση, με εξαίρεση τον λιμένα του Πειραιά που κυριαρχεί και πρωτοπορεί σε αυτήν ενώ είναι ελάχιστοι οι άλλοι λιμένες που λειτουργούν ως σταθμοί «αφετηρίας». Η Κρήτη, ο νομός Ηρακλείου και ειδικότερα η πόλη του Ηρακλείου διαθέτουν πλούσια γεωμορφολογία, ιδανικό κλίμα και σημαντικές υποδομές για την ανάπτυξη της κρουαζιέρας αναψυχής. Η διπλωματική αυτή εργασία διερευνά την περίπτωση του λιμένα Ηρακλείου και τη γνώμη των ενδιαφερομένων (stakeholders) μέσω συνεντεύξεων ως προς τις προϋποθέσεις που απαιτούνται για να καθιερωθεί ως λιμένας (Home port). Συγκεκριμένα, από τη πρωτογενή και δευτερογενή έρευνα που πραγματοποιήθηκε, διαπιστώθηκε ότι τα δυνατά σημεία του τόπου δεν αρκούν για την ανάπτυξη της κρουαζιέρας. Σύμφωνα με τα ευρήματα της ποιοτικής έρευνας και της εξέτασης της μελέτης περίπτωσης, προκύπτει ότι για την αύξηση της κίνησης της κρουαζιέρας πρέπει να αναπτυχθούν οι εγκαταστάσεις (υποδομές- ανωδομές) σε γενικό επίπεδο, να υπάρχει ουσιαστική σύμπραξη όλων των φορέων του δημόσιου και ιδιωτικού τομέα που εμπλέκονται, να εφαρμοσθούν κατά κόρον οι αρχές του τουριστικού μάρκετινγκ, να υπάρχει συνεχής βελτίωση και εφαρμογή του θεσμικού πλαισίου όπως και αναβάθμιση των ζητημάτων ασφαλείας. | el |
| dc.description.abstract | The "passing" Cruise (Transit) in the Mediterranean, and specifically in the Greek destinations-ports has increased in the last decade with Greece occupying an important position in the cruise market in the eastern Mediterranean. In contrast, the activity of the Home Porting is in a very low position, with the exception of the port of Piraeus which dominates and pioneers it while the other ports that operate as "starting" stations are few. Crete, the prefecture of Heraklion and especially the city of Heraklion have rich geomorphology, ideal climate and important infrastructure for the development of recreational cruising. This dissertation examines the case of the port of Heraklion and the opinion of stakeholders through interviews regarding the conditions required to be established as a port (Home port). In particular from the primary and secondary research carried out it was found that the strong points of the place are not enough for the development of the cruise. According to the findings of the qualitative research and the examination of the case study, it appears that in order to increase the movement of the cruise, the facilities (infrastructure-superstructures) in general must be developed, there must be a substantial partnership of all public and private sector bodies are involved to implement the principles of tourism marketing, to have continuous improvement and implementation of the institutional framework as well as upgrading security issues. | en |
